Looking For a Place to Call Home

I've done a lot of moving around over the past five years. I'm really out looking for new places, new people, just really trying to figure out where I want to stay for good. My latest move was to Kansas. I had a friend down there and she was dying for me to move down so I could be closer to her and her family. I will admit, I was just as anxious to get there myself.


She helped me plan things for weeks. We'd be on the phone making lists of all kinds of things I'd have to do in order to be ready to move. I had to think about services I'd need to sign up for like the electric, cable, internet, home alarm systems, trash, water; it was just about everything we could think of.


I had a big yard sale and sold everything I wasn't moving down with me. Once I got rid of as much as I could, I rented a truck and loaded it with everything left I owned. I waved good bye to the place I once called home and started driving towards Kansas! I was just so thrilled to be on the open road.
