What Makes The Little Mermaid an Excellent Movie

The Little Mermaid is an excellent movie to watch on CannonSatellite programming packages at any time. The songs alone are worth it. Such classics as "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World" will be treasured for years to come. My all time favorite though and one of the reasons I watch this film over and over again is "Under the Sea". This catchy tune will captivate you every time you hear it. It just makes you want to sing along while tapping your toes. The movie is so much more than the music though. It's a study of how two people from different worlds can become one. This is something that nations around the world need to learn.

Ariel's father is very concerned about her fascination with the world above the sea. He believes that it is a dangerous place to live and mermaids should stay away. Ariel refuses to listen and goes above where she first sees Erik. She immediately falls in love and work with the witch to attract his attention. This leads to a number of problems although true love is the result even when obstacles are placed in their path. Kids learn to stick with something to achieve the desired result while everyone loves the ending. It's a great story all around and one that you will love as much as we do.
